Hydro-mechanical equipment for Nam Theun 1 Hydropower Plant
ATB Riva Calzoni is Partner in the development of the EPC project 650 MW of the dam in Laos, one of the largest hydropower projects under construction in the world.
CMC, in a joint venture with two of the largest construction companies in Thailand and in Vietnam, has chosen ATB Riva Calzoni as partner of the project signing an EPC Contract for the carrying out of the entire hydro-mechanical scope of work of the dam under construction in the province of Bolikhamxay, Laos.
The hydroelectric plant, built on the Nam Kading river, a tributary of the Mekong, has a power of 650 MW and is designed to produce energy for consumption of the country, distributed by Edl-Electricite' du Laos, and for exports to Thailand on behalf of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand.
Starting from the end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018, ATB Riva Calzoni has delivered part of the equipment to be installed inside the site workshop for site fabrication of penstock with a diameter of 10 meters.
