Reactors for SK Energy Refinery
ATB Riva Calzoni signed a new contract for the supply of four hydroprocessing reactors, the equipment will be installed at the Refinery in Ulsan, South Korea.
The pressure vessels, made of V modified steel, will have a total weight of 2,600 tons and will go into production at the Roncadelle plants in March 2018.
The destination plant, owned by SK Energy, has a capacity of 840,000 barrels per day . The supply, the first of ATB Riva Calzoni for the Korean market, will improve the performance of the refinery, which will increase the number of barrels of 40,000 units per day and the quality of the low sulfur fuel used for maritime transport. In fact, desulphurisation is the O&G process used to reduce the environmental impact of petrochemical products.
The delivery of the four reactors is scheduled for April 2019.
