ATB Riva Calzoni, in collaboration with Ponticelli Frères, has recently been awarded the rehabilitation project of the Pizançon Dam, located in the Haute-Savoie region of France, as part of the "Dam Improvement" initiative promoted by EDF. This is a significant assignment that confirms the trust placed in our engineering skills and our ability to carry out complex interventions in the hydropower sector.
The intervention involves the complete replacement of three of the six spillway gates, which are essential components for ensuring the proper flow of water during flood periods. The new gates will be designed and manufactured according to the highest standards of quality and safety, in order to ensure more efficient flow management and reduce the risk of flooding downstream of the structure.
Thanks to the synergy between ATB Riva Calzoni's know-how in hydromechanical equipment and Ponticelli Frères' experience in large civil works, the Pizançon project will become a benchmark model for the redevelopment of existing infrastructures.
