We are proud to announce the completion of a strategic work for the safety of Lake Resia: the doubling of the gates for the second overflow outlet of the San Valentino Dam in Bolzano.
In this hydroelectric project, in collaboration with Alperia, ATB Riva Calzoni delivered two turnkey radial gates designed to ensure maximum reliability and ease of maintenance.
Civil works were carried out by SEMAT - Civil Construction & Industrial Services, part of ATB Group – which handled the foundations, technical spaces, and all structural connections to the dam body.
To guarantee smooth operation even in the harshest winter conditions, we integrated an advanced anti-icing system: resistive heaters and intelligent heating elements keep control mechanisms ice-free, protecting both equipment and structure.
